Like the G3 wader from Simms, the G3 Guide Jacket is clearly the best rain jacket available at any price. Constructed from 3-layer Gore-Tex XCR® fabric, the G3 is highly breathable, durable and easily earns Gore's "extreme wet weather" rating. A watertight stretch cuff, with a unique "ratchet" adjustment system, keeps water out when you're casting or landing a fish. Hand warmer pockets are fleece lined and the hood provides maximum protection while preserving your peripheral vision. The G3 carries a massive amount of waterproof storage space: two large, bellowed chest pockets, four zippered chest pockets, and a large bellowed back pocket. The waist is adjustable by a concealed drawstring that won't grab flylines. The main center zipper is completely waterproof, yet still easy to get in and out of. Simms - Guide Jacket
The Gore-Tex Guide Jacket has been developed for extremely wet weather – perfect for keeping you dry and warm in cold, wet, windy conditions. Resistant to DEET and saltwater, the Dry Coat has a large back pocket for insulating clothing, lunch or extra gear. Cuffs are neoprene and form a watertight seal. Roll-up storm hood tightens both top and back. Front access zippers under double storm cover conceal two waterproof pockets.
Patagonia - SST Jacket
The Patagonia Salmon-Steelhead-Trout Jacket has been fine-tuned over the years to define perfection. Lightweight, waterproof and breathable, it fends off rain, sleet and snow. Made from 3-layer, 4.4-oz. microfiber nylon with a waterproof/highly breathable H2No Storm HB barrier and advanced Deluge DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Features include high, elasticized chest pockets (with handwarmer pockets behind) that hold fly boxes, an adjustable hood that cinches out rain and wind, a rain gutter/flap system that protects the front zipper and two inner, zippered chest pockets, the left one waterproofed. Y-Joint anatomically curved sleeves won't raise the body when you raise your arms, StretchCoat cuffs seal out water and a large elasticized back storage pocket secures with a hook-and-loop flap. The SST converts to a shorter length with snaps and a Houdini drawcord hem, and has a hidden rod holder.
